Description: When a maker tests to become a journeyman, he must make five knives that are judged on fit, finish and design. These 5 knives are generally the best of a maker's work to date. This is one of the five knives that helped Mike become a journeyman in June 2001.
It has been in a single private collection since Mike's test and is in new condition.
The 52100 carbon steel blade has an appleseed edge, which is preferred by many ABS Mastersmiths for its edge retention. The bird's eye maple handle is gently rounded and feels very comfortable in the hand. The fit and finish is excellent.
