Description: To my eye, this is exactly the sort of knife the American Bladesmith Society hopes to have its members create. Gary works with very tight tolerances, creating a knife with an excellent fit and finish. The Damascus is very clean and well etched. Gary uses his metallurgical knowledge to give a heat treat that is often only reserved for the ABS cutting tests. The soft back draw creates an extremely wear resistant edge with the strength of a softened back. By choosing steels such as 1084 and 15N20 for his Damascus, Gary shows a dedication to producing knives which can stand up to use and will hold their edge. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
