Description: This exceptional hunter was forged to shape by Mastersmith Jerry Lairson. The blade was given a differential heat treatment and a convex edge, resulting in a keen, long lasting cutting edge. Fittings are formed from wrought iron recovered from an 1850s era buggy rim. Both the pommel and the guard show the damascene texture inherent to wrought iron. The sides of the guard and pommel have both been sculpted to perfectly meet up (and match the texture with) the sambar stag handle. The handle is exceptionally comfortable in the hand. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
