Description: Bergland creates knives that evoke the designs of his Scandinavian ancestors. The blade is formed from basket weave mosaic Damascus forged by Gerome Weinand from 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels. It will have excellent edge retention.
The stacked handle is formed from a central section of spalted dogwood surrounded by sections of reindeer antler. Birch bark spacers allow the antler and wood to adjust to temperature and humidity.
The contemporary Norwegian styled handle and neck sheath make this an easy piece to have at hand when needed. The steer hide sheath has a "snap fit" which perfectly matches the blade.
