Description: Craig Camerer's Ironwood Fighter is an exceptional knife. It is no surprise that he chose this one to be one of the five knives that he submitted to be judged on fit and finish for his Journeyman test June 2004. His artistry and level of craftsmanship easily carried him through as one of the most promising new journeymen this year. This knife as been in a single collection since it was made by Craig and it has never been sharpened or used to cut. It is in mint condition.
The carbon steel blade has a long clip that is brought just short of sharpened. It was hand forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel and then hand satin finished. A differential heat treatment assures that the spine will be soft and supportive, whereas the edge is keen and long lasting. The blade is exceptionally done and very elegant. The guard was formed from copper and nickel silver. The copper nicely highlights the warm tones in the exhibition grade desert ironwood handle. The handle swells at the base and at the palm for a great feel in the hand. Amazing work throughout!
