Description: Bladesmith Don Bell makes a highly detailed gentleman's folder. His work is heavily influenced by Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley, who lives in the same town.
The twist pattern Damascus blade is a bold 12 layers that shows off nicely from a distance, immediately capturing attention. By forging the Damascus from 15N20 and 1095 carbon steels, Don has assured that the blade will have excellent edge holding. The blade is easily opened using the 2.5mm ruby thumbstud. The exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory scales are caramel toned with dark chocolate veins throughout the surface. The patterns in the ivory nicely compliment the bold Damascus blade. The scales are dovetailed to the bolsters and are set on fully fileworked and heat blued 15N20 carbon steel liners. The Damascus backbar has also been blued and fileworked inside and out. Heat blued, fileworked screws used throughout. Excellent, smooth action.
