Description: Mastersmith Audra Draper did her training under Mastersmith Ed Fowler. This small Damascus sheep horn hunter shows the strong influence of her teacher -- from the brass guard to the sheephorn handle. It is especially rare to find a sheephorn hunter from Audra where both the spacer and the handle are created from sheephorn.
The blade, measuring 2 1/2 inches, was forged to shape by Audra. The bold pattern is both fascinating from a distance and from up close.
The heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Ed Fowler and has been proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. Audra makes very few sheep horn knives and to find one is a pleasure. When wet, sheep horn does not become slippery, and it is amazingly durable. The handle on this one is exceptional! Great fit and finish throughout
