Description: ABS Mastersmith Audra Draper makes an impressive knife and among those, her sheep horn hunters are highly coveted. She makes very few these days. To find one forged from Damascus -- let alone from blackhorn sheep (very rare) -- is nearly unheard of. The mokume bolster is something that I have not seen on other sheephorn hunters by Audra. The swirling tight mosaic Damascus patterns show tremendous control. The blade has been differentially heat treated, assuring a strong spine and excellent edge retention. The handle is gently curved and provides a sure grip, even when wet.
This piece has been in a single private collection since it was first made by Audra and is in new condition.
