Description: This dramatic steak knife set was hand-built by South African knifemaker Arno Bernard. Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
The hollow ground blades are hand ground Austrian Bohler N690 stainless steel. N690 ensures a keen, long-lasting edge with good resistance to chipping. It is a great choice for high-performance, hard-use knives. The long, slender blades are exquisite and will create a truly unique, dramatic place setting. They are razor sharp.
South African snake bean wood handle scales are set on the full tang for strength and durability. Snake bean wood has bold, interlocking stripes that create a dramatic, almost snake-skin pattern, making the handle stand out immediately. The handles are nicely rounded for a comfortable grip.
This set of six steak knives is accompanied by a hand-built presentation box by Brian Coetzee.
We recommend hand washing.
Truly exceptional!
