Description: Luke Swenson is a fulltime knifemaker originally out of Lakehills, Texas. A couple years ago, he moved to Plumber, Idaho. He is well known for his high quality slipjoint and lockback folding knives that he learned to make under the watchful eye of renowned maker Bill Ruple. Luke strives to make his knives from as many high quality American products as possible and offers a lifetime warranty with all of his work.
This Barlow Multi-Blade Slipjoint is an excellent example of Luke's work. The classic Barlow pattern is among the most famous slipjoint models available. Luke has honored this extraordinary pattern with exceptional skill.
The spear point blades are hand ground CPM-154 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. It is an excellent steel for hard working folders. The primary blade measures 2-3/4 inches long and the smaller blade measures in at 2 inches. Left side nail nicks make the blades easy to open. They are perfectly centered and have smooth action with firm halfstops.
Vintage Micarta handle scales are set on the satin finished stainless steel frame. The scales are perfectly fit to stainless steel bolsters. Classic pin construction is used throughout. The springs are also made from CPM-154 stainless steel. The hand contoured handle provides a comfortable grip.
Includes a branded zipper case for long term storage.
Excellent work throughout!
