Description: Josh Osborne of Rogue Forge is a bladesmith and blacksmith working out of Central Point, Oregon. He has been a full time blacksmith since 2018. In May of 2021, he made the transition to become a full time bladesmith. He is currently working on becoming a journeyman smith with the American Blademith Society.
The 6-1/3 inch raised clip point blade is Copper San Mai Damascus, hand forged by Josh. Forged damascus cladding surrounds a central core of 1084 carbon steel. Copper shims add a stunning high contrast transition point between the cladding and core steel. Josh's touchmark is on the right side of the blade. Because the blade is forged from carbon steel, we recommend using camellia oil to protect the blade from rust.
The handle is dyed and stabilized oak, secured to a full tang using copper rivets. The handle is lightly contoured to prevent hot spots in your hand. The front bolster is dyed and stabilized maple. Black and white G-10 liners complement the scales well and will help the natural wood adjust to humidity and temperature changes.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand tooled black leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
