Description: Bradford Knives are made in the Pacific Northwest in Renton, Washington. His background working in an aerospace machine shop is clearly evident in these high-performance knives.
The Bradford Guardian 3.5 provides the same blade format as the 3.2, but with a straight handle that complements larger hands. The finger choil prevents your hand slipping forward onto the blade. Bradford knives are known for exceptional heat treatment on their blades and ruggedness that will have their knives passed down for generations.
The 3.8 inch blade is CPM-MagnaCut with a sabre grind. Bradford's CPM-MagnaCutHH marking designates that this knife is hardened to 63-64 Hrc instead of the standard 60-61 Hrc. CPM-MagnaCut is a premium stainless steel created by Crucible with the help of professional metallurgist Dr. Larrin Thomas. MagnaCut combines the high toughness of CPM-4V with the corrosion resistance of CPM-20CV. This creates a perfect blade steel option for knives that need high toughness and great edge retention while still being easy to maintain, making MagnaCut a great candidate for both folding knives and hard use fixed blades. The “nimbus” finish (DLC coating that has been tumbled) will help hide scratches that may be added from use.
3D Richlite handle scales are set on a full tang. Layers of chocolate brown, tan and red Richlite are revealed through careful machining for a durable and beautiful handle. A hole through the tang of the handle makes it easy to add a lanyard. The scales can be removed for detailed cleaning or if new scales are desired.
Each knife includes a premium leather sheath with belt loop and plastic blade insert, meant to be worn horizontal-style.
