Description: This is an elegant, hand forged Camp Bowie. It is exquisite -- with a nice forward balance for a swinging chop. Whether chopping wood out in the wild or a cherished knife in a collection, this Bitterroot Camp Bowie is sure to be a favorite. This camp knife has been in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, Gary could have made it yesterday.
The blade was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. This resilient steel will hold an exceptional edge while having good strength for chopping. The blade features an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish. A differential heat treatment increases edge holding and resilience.
The handle is carved from Arizona desert ironwood and set with mosaic pins. It is perfectly fit against a brass guard. A lined lanyard tube makes adding extra retention a breeze if desired. The handle swells at the palm for a secure, comfortable grip. This knife has perfect balance for a chopping blow.
Accompanied by a hand tooled leather sheath by Gordon Kenley.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
