Description: Iowa knifemaker Mike Zscherny has been making knives since 1978 and is a full time maker. He is a very well known maker and specializes in slipjoint folders inspired by Tony Bose. Mike is renowned as one of the leaders of slipjoint folders. His knives have exquisite fit and finish. It is no surprise, that his wait list has become exceptionally long.
The clip point blade is hand ground CPM154 stainless steel. This American-made powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant. The top of the blade features a long swedge. A hand rubbed satin finish provides an heirloom quality. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth, consistent action. It is easily opened with the right-hand nail nick. The handle is antique Westinghouse Micarta, set with hand domed pins.
Exceptional work throughout.
