Description: This Hunter/Utility was made by Lake Stevens, WA knifemaker Roger Clark. Roger began making knives in Phoenix AZ in 1973, when he met renowned knifemaker, D’Alton Holder. Over time, Holder and Clark became good friends and Holder shared his passion and knifemaking techniques. Roger’s knives are made 100% entirely by hand. This knife has been in a private collection and is in new condition. By all appearances, Roger could have made it yesterday.
The blade is hand ground 440C stainless steel, heat treated by Paul Bos to Hrc 58-60. The polished blade features a long swedge for an aggressive tip. Clark’s touchmark is on the left ricasso.
416 stainless steel bolsters are set with mosaic pins. They are dovetailed to gemsbok horn handle scales. The spine features hand filework.
Excellent work throughout!
