Description: Enrique Pena from Laredo, Texas has been making fine custom knives since 2006. He builds high quality folders both modern and traditional, including flippers, slipjoints, and lockback folders. He learned to make traditional style knives from renowned knifemakers Bill Ruple and Rusty Preston. Enrique's knives are designed to be used and carried, but could easily be the gem of any collection!
This Cobra Flipper is an excellent folder for daily carry. The hand rubbed satin finished blade is premium CPM-154 stainless steel. This powdered metallurgical steel has a particularly small grain structure, making it take an extremely keen edge and hold it while remaining tough and chip resistant.
The blade is perfectly centered with silky-smooth, drop-shut action thanks to the caged bearing system. The blade can be easily deployed using the ambidextrous flipper tab.
The handle is bead blasted titanium with fluting on the front for extra grip. Titanium damascus pivot collars surround the pivot. A titanium damascus (Zircu-Ti) backbar keeps the knife light, yet strong. The titanium damascus pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip-up carry.
Excellent work throughout!
