Description: The models offered by Randall Knives have been developed over a period of 80 years from personal experience, extensive research and the study of hundreds of designs submitted by individuals around the world requesting custom-made knives. Each model has been thoroughly field-tested and has proven to be properly shaped and designed for its particular use. Randall knives are 100% handmade and no two are exactly alike. This knife has been kept in a private collection since it was made in the mid 90s. It is in mint condition which is extremely rare for its age.
The Randal Model 8 Trout and Bird Knife is especially suitable for small fish and feathered game. An interesting historical note is that Francis G. Powers, a U-2 pilot, was carrying a model 8 when he was shot down over Russia in May 1960.
The 3.8" raised clip blade is 440B stainless steel. It was heat treated to Hrc 55-56, ensuring a resilient, durable edge. It features a satin finish. The left side of the blade features the Randall Knives logo: "Randall Knives - Orlando, FL". An S in the mark signifies this is a stainless steel blade. The spine of the blade is notched for a secure thumb purchase.
The handle is contoured black Micarta. Red, white, and blue spacers separate the handle from the guard. A polished brass guard finishes the handle.
A leather sheath with retention snap is included.
