Description: The models offered by Randall Knives have been developed over a period of 80 years from personal experience, extensive research and the study of hundreds of designs submitted by individuals around the world requesting custom-made knives. Each model has been thoroughly field-tested and has proven to be properly shaped and designed for its particular use. Randall knives are 100% handmade and no two are exactly alike. This Fighting Stiletto was made some time between the early 70's. It has been meticulously kept in a single private collection. Both the knife and sheath are in near new condition with only the slightest age marks. Neither has ever been carried or used to cut.
The Model 2 Fighting Stiletto was designed to be a Military style knife with a single purpose use in mind. The classic lines are reminiscent of a famous British Commando Knife, but was designed to be slightly larger, with a stronger blade and a more comfortable grip. This knife is sure to impress dagger enthusiasts worldwide!
The blade is forged from O1 carbon steel and features a satin finish. The symmetrical dagger grind is fully sharpened on both sides and will penetrate to the hilt with ease. A choil on both sides of the blade allows you to choke up on the blade for more delicate cutting tasks. Randall's touchmark is on the flat of the left side of the blade.
The handle is stacked leather surrounded by red, white, and blue fiber spacers, The guard is polished brass and the pommel is polished aluminum. The contoured handle provides a comfortable grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a brown leather sheath with an original Bear brand field sharpening stone is included. This sharpening stone most likely dates the knife to between 1972 and 1976.
This knife is a true piece of knifemaking history that you won't want to miss!
