Description: Henry Hilden began making knives in 1995 and has become one of the most accomplished knifemakers in Sweden. He produces exceptionally stunning damascus blades and the fit and finish of his knives easily rivals some of the best knifemakers in the world. This Swedish Hunter is a prime example of Hilden's incredible work and could easily be at the center of any collection!
The damascus blade is hand forged from a multi-bar composite made from 1085 and 15n20 carbon steels. The top of the blade is mosaic damascus. The edge bar is an explosion pattern. The combined result is exceptionally dramatic. Hilden's grind lines nicely reveal the intricacies hidden within his damascus. The blade is truly exceptional and shows Hilden's work at its best!
The handle combines ancient crosscut walrus ivory with sections of buffalo horn and fileworked nickel spacers. The bolsters match the dramatic mosaic damascus used in the blade. A finial on the pommel completes the handle.
To keep the knife close at hand, a hand tooled Swedish style single seam leather custom sheath is included.
This knife feels exceptional in hand and has tremendous fit and finish. Excellent work throughout!
