Description: Arno Bernard Sr. is a maker from South Africa and has been making knives for over 35 years. He has been a member of the Knifemakers Guild of Southern Africa (KGSA) for over 20 years. Living in South Africa has allowed him the luxury of using many different exotic handle materials -- some even collected himself.
This hunter/skinner is hand ground Bohler N690 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. N690 takes an incredibly sharp edge and holds onto it. Increased toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. The blade has been hollow ground to a high performance edge. The spine has been rounded for comfort.
Handle scales are dyed and stabilized maple burl horn set on the full tang with stainless steel pins. The contoured handle is extremely comfortable and provides an excellent grip.
To keep the knife close at hand, a pouch style leather sheath is included.
Excellent work throughout!
