Description: Tinus Stone is a custom knifemaker from Mossel Bay on the Western Cape of South Africa. He mainly makes slipjoints and is known for his clean lines and great fit & finish.
The blade on this Lanny's Clip Slipjoint is made from twist pattern damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. This high performing stainless damascus is created using powder metallurgical steel manufacturing to provide excellent edge retention and unmatched beauty. A hollow grind creates an easy to maintain edge.
Handle scales are dyed and stabilized maple burl set on satin finished stainless steel liners. Thin orange fiber liners nicely match the scales and will help the natural wood adjust to humidity and temperature changes. The contoured handle is very comfortable in hand. Tinus' maker mark is engraved on the inside of the spring.
This folder is nicely timed with a firm half-stop. The action throughout is smooth and consistent.
The knife is accompanied by a leather slip pocket pouch for easy carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
