Description: Captain Bunshichi Koyama is a tremendously creative knifemaker from Japan. His designs are truly innovative -- often combining unique mechanisms he designs with ancient and modern materials. The resulting whimsical folders are both functional and playful.
This folder features a 2-1/2 san mai stainless damascus blade with a VG-10 ultra-high performing core. The blade is easily opened using the integral ring on the back of the blade. It is closed by pressing upward at the base of the blade, releasing the lock.
The show side scale is carbon fiber. The reverse is heat colored, jewel polished titanium. Timascus titanium damascus pivot collars add just the right amount of contrast. Titanium barrel spacers keep this knife extremely light -- just 1.8 oz. The handle is completed with a paracord lanyard and bead - making it easy to pull out of your pocket when needed. The knife is accompanied by a leather pocket pouch and a neck lanyard for easy carry.
Excellent work throughout!
