Description: Mastersmith Bill Burke makes knives that are as high performance as a knife can get. When his hand is put to a high performance folder, the results are spectacular.
The damascus blade was hand forged by Burke. The high contrast, detailed River of Fire pattern immediately grabs attention. The blade is perfectly centered with smooth, consistent action. The clip point grind provides a particularly efficient cut with a detail-oriented tip and deep belly.
The handle combines presentation grade mammoth ivory with damascus bolsters. They join in a perfect dovetail. The presentation grade bark ivory is tremendous. The colors in the ivory develop as minerals in surrounding soil move into the ivory across thousands of years.
Excellent work throughout!
