Description: Dawson Knives was started in 1973 by Barry Dawson after completing his tour of duty in Vietnam. Today, three generations of his family help him run the company. Dawson knives are handcrafted in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty. This knife has been meticulously cared for in a private collection. It is in new condition and by all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The Handyman was designed to be the perfect EDC fixed blade, easily replacing a folding knife. The contoured handle and drop point blade is ready for any task at hand.
The 3 inch drop point blade is made from damascus forged from carbon steels by Brad Vice of Alabama Damascus. Jimping on the spine provides excellent traction and moves into a fileworked spine. The Dawson Select logo is on the left side of the blade.
The handle is dyed and stabilized box elder burl set on a full tang using mosaic pins. The high polish handle features a deep choil to provide excellent control. The tang extends past the scales and allows a lanyard to be added to the rear of the knife.
To keep the knife close at hand, a Kydex sheath is included. A folded over section of the sheath acts as a pocket clip so that the knife can be carried comfortable in the front pocket.
Excellent work throughout!
