Description: Mastersmith Rick Dunkerley's knives are unique and immediately identifiable. As one of the 'Montana Mafia', he developed liner locks with some of the smoothest action of any folder. He proves that washers create action that is just as smooth as bearings. This folder has silky-smooth action and is easily opened with three 'Delana dots' set on each side of the swedge.
Ancient walrus ivory scales are set on 15N20 carbon steel liners. The surface of the ancient ivory is hand carved. The carbon steel liners are meticulously hand fileworked and nitre blued.
Both the blade and bolsters are made from a highly detailed laddered mosaic damascus. The bolsters are inlaid with 24k gold and are hand textured. The backbar is meticulously hand engraved inside and out. Dunkerley's mark is engraved on the interior of the backbar. Screws throughout have been meticulously hand fileworked.
Exceptional work throughout!
