Description: This exceptional Rhino Fighter was made by Argentinian brothers Claudio, Ariel, and Marcelo Sobral. This fighter is a hallmark of their work, from the intricate San Mai blade, to the large harpoon tip. This fighter is sure to impress anyone who picks it up!
The blade was hand forged from 1095 carbon steel surrounded by 420 stainless steel. This technique, known as san mai (three layers) provides the performance of 1095 carbon steel, with the lower care of stainless steel sides. The transition between the hard center core and the softer sides is particularly dramatic, with an effect similar to a hamon in appearance. A fuller runs almost the entire length of the blade to reduce weight and adds to the blade's exceptional appearance.
The handle is formed from a downturned section of jet black buffalo horn. Alternating spacers formed from carbon fiber and stainless steel separate the buffalo horn from the polished 420 stainless steel guard. The handle is exceptionally comfortable and well balanced.
To protect the knife during storage and transportation, a leather sheath made by Marcelo Sobral is included. A zipper pouch with the CAS knives logo is included for storage.
Excellent work throughout!
