Description: This Khanjar Dagger by Journeyman Smith Peter Pruyn of Brothersville Knives is in impressive piece. The Khanjar is a traditional dagger originating from Oman. Pruyn combined 18th and 19th century Khanjar styles with 21st century materials and techniques to create a superior fighting knife. The blade is styled after 18th century Khanjar daggers, while the coffin handle style is inspired by 19th century work.
The blade was hand forged from W2 tool steel, ensuring a keen, long lasting edge.
Dyed and stabilized giraffe bone handle scales are set with tapered from construction. Blue fiber liners assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The fileworked guard is formed from satin finished nickel silver.
This custom Khanjar Dagger is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath with rattlesnake skin inlay.
Nice work throughout!
