Description: Master Smith Henry Torres creates a spectacular custom hunting knife. His work is influenced by some of the best makers in the business.
The drop point blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel have the highest performance found anywhere. It is completed by an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish. A differential heat treatment is visible in the satin finished steel. This results in a keen, long lasting edge with a softer, supportive spine. The blade was heat treated using techniques developed by Mastersmith Bill Burke. These methods, while time consuming, resulting in a knife with spectacular edge holding.
A 416 stainless steel guard meets perfectly to the Arizona desert ironwood handle. Handle scales are seated with mosaic pins and a lanyard tube.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
