BladeGallery is excited to announce our Forged Hunting/Outdoor Knife Class, where you’ll have the opportunity to forge, shape, and finish your very own custom hunting/outdoor knife under the guidance of Pennsylvania-based Journeyman Smith Luke Dellmyer.

In this comprehensive two-day course, Luke will guide you through the entire process of forging a working hunting knife from raw steel. You’ll learn the fundamentals of forging to shape, grinding, heat treating, shaping the handle, and hand finishing your knife.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced maker, this class is designed to expand your skills and understanding of forged fixed blades. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with a completed hunting knife of your own creation — fully functional, heat-treated, sharpened, and marked with your initials.

About the instructor:
Journeyman Smith Luke Dellmyer of Hellertown, Pennsylvania, is a former farrier and blacksmith whose forged knives unite precision, performance, and artistry. Drawing on decades of metalwork experience, he crafts elegant chef’s knives, rugged outdoor blades, and damascus masterpieces—all reflecting his commitment to balance, flow, and purposeful design. He has been making knives since 2018.
