Description: Australian born knifemaker Glenn Waters spent much of his adult life in Japan. His unique style combines Japanese and European aesthetics to create dramatic masterworks. This folder has been kept in a private collection since it was made in 2012. It is in new condition and by all appearances Glenn could have made it yesterday.
This compact folder combines a VG-10 stainless steel blade with a titanium frame. The blade is textured on the flats and heat colored to acquire a scorched look. It has a slight curve for aggressive cutting. It is easily opened using the flipper or the double thumb studs, which also acts as a stop pin.
The front frame is Timascus titanium damascus, milled and heat colored for a dramatic iridescent effect. The lock side is solid titanium, heat colored to match the colors of the Timascus. A Timascus pocket clip is anodized to match the handle and mounted for tip-up, right-side carry.
A very unique and colorful little folder!
