Description: Mastersmith Jerry Lairson creates an exceptional knife and this one makes it clear why he is famous for his bowie knives. This exceptional bowie has been in a private collection since it was made in February of 2008. It has been in a private collection and has been meticulously cared for. By all appearances, Jerry could have made it yesterday. This knife won the award for Best Damascus Knife at the 2008 Arkansas Custom Knife Show.
The blade is absolutely spectacular and it is no surprise that it won the award for Best Damascus Knife. The upper section of the blade features an S-pattern damascus which transitions into a sharkstooth pattern cutting edge. Before he etched the damascus, he created a flame pattern resist. The result is dramatic silver flames traveling across the complex damascus background. An appleseed grind ensures a very strong edge that will hold up under use.
The antiqued curly maple handle is inlaid with pure silver wire flames, reflecting the patterns in the blade. The handle is completed with a damascus oval guard and fileworked damascus ferrule.
Inferno is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
