Description: This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. The long, deep-bellied blade is well suited for slicing vegetables and meats. The gentle arch of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board. Whether slicing onions, chopping vegetables, or portioning meats, this chef's knife handmade by Ben Tendick is a perfect go-to knife in the kitchen.
The blade was ground to shape from 15N20. This carbon steel provides a keen, long lasting edge with excellent chip resistance. A mustard patina provides some rust resistance and tremendous beauty. Both the spine and curved choil are rounded for a comfortable grip.
The ambidextrous handle is made from roasted sugar maple. The light toned wood has darker curls moving through the figure. The handle on this chef's knife is a nice size and will be very comfortable for extended use. It is well contoured with a palm swell.
This knife is made from carbon steel and like other knives, it should not be put in the dishwasher. We recommend using camellia oil to protect the blade from rusting and the handle from drying out. This knife is sure to become your 'goto' knife and a family heirloom.
Exceptional work throughout!
