Description: This exceptional puukko is the work of Jeremy Spake of Portland, Oregon. Jeremy has been making knives since 2010. His work is heavily influenced by Scandinavian knives. This Swedish style Puukko will be as comfortable on your belt out in the field as it would be in any collection!
Jeremy began by forging the blade from W2 carbon steel. A traditional Japanese clay zone heat treatment results in a soft, supportive spine, with a keen, long lasting edge. The dramatic transition line that moves across the blade is called a hamon.
The handle combines stabilized maple burl with rosewood burl. The woods are particularly dramatic and exceptional. A bolster is formed from antique wrought iron that has been blued.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched pouch style leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
