Description: This exceptional handmade chef's utility is the work of bladesmith Kelly Dallyn. It is a perfect choice to grab when doing detail work in the kitchen. Slicing tomatoes and onions will be a breeze! The gentle rock of the blade is perfect for chopping, mincing and slicing.
The blade was forged to shape from Kelly's own damascus. It is a multi-bar Turkish Twist pattern that immediately captures attention. Four separate bars of twist pattern damascus were set in alternate opposing directions. This is a tremendous pattern that Dallyn learned from his mentor, Mastersmith Bill Fiorini. The damascus is nicely complemented by an arc of drilled holes through the steel. The blade is brought to a razor sharp edge.
Cocobolo scales are set on a full tang with nickel alloy pins. Copper bolsters are dovetailed to the ironwood ensuring a perfect fit. The copper brings a sense of warmth to the natural wood handle.
Exceptional fit throughout.
