Description: Mastersmith Harvey Dean's eye for design and style shine through his work. I was very excited when I heard that he had begun to make straight razors a few years ago and even more so when I finally got to see his work. He has spent these years refining his razors -- and using them himself. He was very lucky to be able to get advice from renowned straight razor maker, Tim Zowada. Harvey Dean's straight razors are now among the best razors that I have ever encountered.
The 5/8th" O1 carbon steel blade was hollow ground for a tremendously thin, high performing edge. The steel was brought to 62-63 Hrc for a particularly long lasting edge. This razor has a round point.
Handle scales were made from hand selected dyed and stabilized cow bone. A black buffalo horn wedge adds just the right amount of contrast.
This is an absolutely spectacular custom straight razor. It is accompanied by a traditional cardboard razor box.
