Description: Jan Wahl is a maker to watch. He became a full time knife maker in 2009 and joined the Southern African Knife Makers Guild in 2012. Jan has excellent attention to detail. Lately, he has been hanging out with Mastersmith Kevin Harvey and Wahl has been picking up some serious new skills.
This Boot Dagger is made from damascus forged from carbon steels by Mastersmith Kevin Harvey. The damascus will provide a keen, long lasting edge.
The oval guard is made from brass that has been fileworked on the sides and stippled on the front. A central column of African black wood meets perfectly with the guard and pommel. The slender handle design makes this dagger particularly good for concealed carry. The brass pommel has been fluted and stippled to match the guard. This elegant boot dagger is reminiscent of the Scottish Sgain Dubh.
To keep the knife close at hand a vegetable tanned leather sheath is included. The hand tooled sheath is designed to provide a low profile for concealed carry.
