Description: Raymond Richard's knives have a timeless grace about them that comes from a family heritage of knifemaking and the inclusion of hard to find materials.
This hunting knife has a great feel! The blade is hand forged from carbon steel recovered from an antique saw blade. Ray is a true master at the forge, regularly teaching other bladesmiths better forging techniques. The hand forged blade is convex ground and antiqued.
The guard and finial are forged from antique wrought iron. The wrought iron has a hammered finish which continues the antique feel to the knife. The handle is formed from a deer antler crown. It is perfectly shaped, with just the right amount of downturn for a secure, comfortable grip.
A truly unique piece! A three ply cowhide brown leather sheath is meticulously hand tooled. This knife has a feel of an era gone by. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
