Description: Ole Pedersen was born and raised in Denmark but now hails from Washington State and is a new knifemaker to watch. His work shows tremendous attention to detail and has clean, crisp lines. Makers such as Bruce Bump and Todd Begg have guided Ole in the art of knife making. Ole finds inspiration in our avian friends and he named this knife the Crane. The hollow ground blade is formed from CPM154 stainless steel, an excellent steel well known for its superior edge retention and rust resistant qualities. A distal tapered tang ensures optimal balance.
Presentation grade Arizona desert ironwood handles are set on a distal tapered full tang. By creating a slight rounded dome to the handle, Ole created a knife that is very comfortable to hold. The bolsters are satin finished 416 stainless steel. All transitions between materials are nicely smoothed. This piece is accompanied by a very nice, custom brown leather sheath, made and tooled by Ole's wife, Julie.
