Description: This elegant folder was made by Butch and Judy Beaver. It immediately draws the eye and would be perfect in any collection or used as an every day carry. This knife has been in a private collection since it was made in 1990. It has been meticulously cared for and is in virtually new condition. It does not appear to have been used to cut or been sharpened after its creation. The left side of the blade features Butch and Judy's mark (New River, AZ) and has 1990 in roman numerals.
The 440C stainless steel, drop point blade is hollow ground for a thin, high performance edge. 440C is well known for its exceptional edge holding and keenness. The blade is mirror polished.
Both scales were engraved and differentially anodized by Butch's wife, Judy. She masterfully incorporates soft hues of lavender and greens in the flowers. Hints of gold, like glimmers of sunshine in the violets add warmth and create a sense of life-like vibrancy. The engravings are framed by a border that transitions subtly from yellow to blue.
Smooth action with a well centered blade. Nice work throughout!
