Description: South African knifemaker, Andre Van Heerden, creates an amazing folder -- and this Damascus M27 has it all! Here, he combines high tech materials such as a titanium frame, stainless damascus blade, lightning strike carbon fiber, and copper niobium superconductivity wire damascus bolsters into a tremendously captivating knife.
The clip point blade is formed stainless damascus. Mike Norris' damascus both grabs attention from a distance and holds it upon closer examination.
Very rare lightning strike carbon fiber scales rest on anodized titanium, keeping this knife light and fast. Copper strands move through the carbon fiber weave. This type of carbon fiber was originally designed for use on fighter jets to redirect electricity. Lightning strike carbon fiber is among the hardest to find knifemaking materials. The color and pattern of the carbon fiber is highlighted by the copper in the bolsters. Ultra-high tech copper niobium superconductivity wire was forged into damascus bolsters. The bolsters are dovetailed to the lightning strike carbon fiber for a perfect fit. This is a knife that will have excellent durability as a using knife, but will easily feel at home in any collection. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth action. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
