Description: André Thorburn has a reputation for creating exceptional folding knives. This stylish folder will not disappoint fans of Andre's work! This is a utility folder, sized for heavy tasks, yet small enough to be a comfortable daily carry knife. The blade is easily large enough for serious tasks, but at just over 4 oz., this folder is easy to keep close at hand. The pocket clip is inlaid into the scales and set for tip-up carry.
The clip point 19C27 stainless steel blade has been hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge and then meticulously hand satin finished. The steel is tremendously wear-resistant and takes on a keen, long lasting edge. It is one of those rare steels that has exceptional edge holding and can be easily stropped from sort-of dull to scary sharp. The blade is perfectly centered with a delightfully smooth action.
The scales are made from G10, in attention-grabbing toxic green. The texture of the G10 has been used to full advantage to create subtly patterned scales. Rather than using two separate pieces butted together, Andre created the G10 handle and inlaid carbon fiber into the bolster section. This results in very strong scales! These are set on anodized and mirror polished titanium liners. Exceptional fit throughout.
