Description: Tim Galyean is a young maker who lives in Newberg, Oregon. He has been making custom knives since early 2004, tracing his start in the industry back to 2001 when he went to work for Kershaw, fulfilling a lifelong love for knives. Inspired by the designs of his mentor, Ken Onion, Tim worked with him to learn the art of custom knife building and ever since has been working on finessing his designs and techniques. This knife has been in a private collection and is in exceptional condition. It has never been used to cut. There is a light scuff on the spine on the DLC coating (where this knife rubbed up against another while it was being shipped to us). Other than this scuff, this knife is in new condition. We have reduced the price of this knife by $800 to adjust for the scuff, making this an exceptional deal!
This is the only DLC finished Digital Flipper that Tim has made. It features ultra crisp lines and slick, futuristic styling. It functions well, locks up like a bank vault, and has great ergonomics.
The tanto style blade is S30V stainless steel and will have exceptional edge holding. The substantial titanium handle has a lightness and maneuverability that is surprising for its size. The handle scale design features geometric sculpting. A deep choil ensures a comfortable, secure grip.
The titanium pocket clip is set for tip-down carry. The action is gloriously smooth, easily opened using the flipper mechanism. The blade is perfectly centered with no wobble. Exceptional design and solid construction!
