Description: This hunter by Raymond Richard has an old world grace that is rarely found in knives by other makers. A Scandinavian influence is clearly visible in this knife, though Ray's own style also shines through. It is both good-looking and highly capable. The blade is forged to shape from L6 carbon steel, an extremely tough steel with very good edge holding. The heat treatment of the blade ensures a great combination of hardness and toughness. A precise, Scandi-inspired grind line and hand-rubbed satin finish ensure this piece would hold its own in any collection, as well as being an excellent use knife.
The handle is formed from a piece of even-toned, straight grained ebony, with a walrus ivory spacer providing a flash of contrast against the dark wood. It is sculpted to fill the palm comfortably - you won't want to put it down! The handle is completed with antique hammer finished wrought iron fittings. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
