Description: This beautiful folder is the work of South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden. The blade and bolsters are formed from two different types of Ettoré Gianferarri mosaic damascus. They have complimentary patterns -- the blade with a more dramatic pattern and the bolster more restrained. This steel has excellent edge holding, and the blade has been hollow ground with a gracefully curved grind line. The drop point blade is well centered with smooth action.
The bolsters have been meticulously dovetailed to fossil mammoth tooth scales. The molar combines blue and cream tones with a darker central band. Scales and bolsters rest on blue anodized titanium liners with red fiber spacers. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
