Description: An incomparably fantastic creation from bladesmith Raymond Richard! The spontoon hawk was a modification on the half-pike formerly borne by inferior officers of the British infantry, and used in giving signals to the soldiers. To this day, it is a formidable weapon.
The spiked head of this spontoon hawk was hand forged to shape from 1080 carbon steel. The head measures 9-1/4" in length. The hand forged head and antiqued oak haft give this contemporary tomahawk a beautiful, heirloom appearance. Brass pins stud the handle, providing a pleasing texture along the haft. This spontoon tomahawk is a wonderful addition to any hawk collection.
