Description: André Thorburn has a reputation for creating excellent folding knives. This elegant folder will not disappoint fans of Andre's work! This is a utility piece, sized for heavy tasks, yet small enough to be a comfortable daily carry knife. The blade is easily large enough for serious tasks, but at just over 4 oz, this folder is easy to keep close at hand.
The clip point 19C27 stainless blade has been hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge. It has been meticulously hand satin finished. The steel, which is in the same family as 12C27, is tremendously wear-resistant and takes on an incredibly keen, long lasting edge. It is one of those rare steels that has exceptional edge holding and can be easily stropped from sort-of dull to scary sharp.
The scales are made from G10, in a soft desert tone. The texture of the G10 has been used to full advantage to create subtly patterned scales. These are set on blue anodized titanium liners with contrasting bright red carbon fiber spacers. Perfectly centered blade with smooth action. Exceptional fit throughout. Accompanied by certificate from the maker.
