Description: South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden creates an amazing folder -- and at a price that could never be found from an American maker.
The drop point blade was formed from damascus by Ettoré Gianferarri. Gianferarri makes his damascus in very small quantities. His patterns are very complex and show tremendous skill. The blade has silky-smooth action and is well centered between anodized titanium liners.
The bolsters are formed from stainless steel and have been meticulously engraved by Helene von Wyk. 2 grams of 22k gold have been inlaid into the bolsters, creating dramatic golden ribbons traveling through the floral scroll. Exhibition grade mammoth molar scales have captivating alternating dark and light striations. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
