Description: Micke Andersson's work is exceptional and innovative. This exquisite utility knife has been in a private collection since it was made in 2007. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances, Micke could have made it yesterday.
The blade was hollow ground to bring out the "stars" in the twist pattern damascus. By incorporating 15N20 and 20C carbon steels when forging his damascus, Micke was able to create a blade that will have exceptional edge holding.
A twist pattern damascus front and rear guard bring the weight back into the handle. Cross-cut ancient walrus ivory is surrounded by warm toned desert ironwood (Olneya tesota). Alternating stainless steel and black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes.
This knife is accompanied by a traditional hard leather, hand tooled Swedish sheath.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
