Description: Eklund is one of the masters of the Sami styled knife and regularly receives awards in the Swedish Championships. Seeing his work, it is no surprise.
This knife is truly a one-of-a-kind piece. The blade was forged by renowned Swedish bladesmith Mattias Styrefors using 20C and 15N20 carbon steels.
The handle is very traditional and has a slim oval shape that fits very comfortably into the hand. The reindeer antler in the handle has a slight gloss finish. The sallow root wood in the center of the handle has excellent grain structure and has a smooth oiled finish. The traditional Scandinavian pattern on the sheath and handle is not scrimshaw, but hand engraving, darkened with alder bark powder. A reveal on the front of the sheath allows the Damascus blade to be seen when inserted. An engraved section of reindeer antler can be seen when the sheath is empty. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
