Description: Webb Hammond has created this exceptional hunter/skinner. He began by hand knapping flint found in Flint Ridge, Ohio. The flint is white/yellow with red tones. A natural striation line travels across the face, bringing tremendous interest. The blade is secured in the handle using rawhide.
The handle is formed from an ancient bison bone. The ancient bison moved across the plains of much of North America. The Ancient Bison was taller, and had larger bones and horns and generally 15-25% larger than modern day bison. From tip to tip, the horns measured approximately 3 feet. Exceptional work with a terrific knife that will feel at home out in the field or in a collection.
